How a job runs, start to finish

From flooded to favourite room.

A wet basement is our home turf. We excavate, membrane, and drain — and document the job layer by layer, before anything gets covered up.

The story

A basement that's been wet for years becomes a storage room nobody visits. We excavate, membrane, and drain it — posting proof of every layer before it disappears behind the next one. You sign off on each milestone from your phone.

We're a young company, and we like it that way: no decades of promises — just every project, photographed and timestamped in the app. Our track record builds in public.

The sequence, published up front

You'll know the loud week before we ever start.

Every job follows the same published order. Yours gets dates, noise levels, and a heads-up the night before anything dramatic. The jackhammer should never be a surprise.

01

Protect & demo

Days 1–4
Moderate

What you'll feel

We wrap your house before we touch it — floor protection, dust barriers, air scrubbers. Then the old comes out.

What the app shows you

Photos of every protection layer, plus the daily end-of-day sweep log.

02

Break & dig

Days 5–12
The loud one

What you'll feel

The loud week — concrete breaking, scheduled 9:00 to 4:00. Take your calls at the café; we’ll remind you the night before.

What the app shows you

A noise forecast for each day, crew hours, and haul-out counts as they happen.

03

Structure & rough-ins

Days 13–21
Moderate

What you'll feel

Quieter and precise. Footings, framing, plumbing and electrical go in — and the city inspector visits.

What the app shows you

Every pipe and wire photographed before it disappears behind a wall. Inspection reports shared in the app.

04

Close the walls

Days 22–28
Moderate

What you'll feel

Drywall, taping, sanding — dust stays inside the barriers. The space starts looking like a room again.

What the app shows you

Spend vs. budget at the 80% milestone — released only when you approve it.

05

Finish & hand over

Days 29–34
Quiet

What you'll feel

Quiet trades: paint, trim, fixtures, final clean. You start planning the furniture.

What the app shows you

Final inspection records and your complete project history — yours to keep.

Timeline shown for a typical basement project. Structural jobs run the same way — just with more steps, all published before day one.

Do you give fixed prices?

Yes. After a free walkthrough you get a fixed milestone plan in writing before any work starts. Each milestone is priced up front, and you approve the work before it is paid.

What does the app cost?

Nothing. Every project includes the client app — crew check-ins, daily photos, deliveries, noise forecasts, spend vs. budget, and milestone approvals.

What kind of work do you take on?

Below-grade is our specialty: underpinning, waterproofing, foundation repair, basement renovations, and legal basement suites. We also take on kitchens, bathrooms, and full renovations.

What areas do you serve?

Toronto and the GTA — including Mississauga, Vaughan, Markham, Richmond Hill, Oakville, and surrounding cities.

Are you licensed and insured?

Yes — licensed, insured, and WSIB covered. Documentation is available on request, and inspection reports are shared in the app as the job runs.

How do payments work?

In stages. The milestone schedule is in your contract; as each stage finishes you review the photos and inspections in the app, then approve the payment.

How much does a basement renovation cost in Toronto?

Most Toronto basement renovations run roughly $50K-$80K for a standard finish, and $80K-$175K for a complete legal basement suite. City, size, and finish level move the number — see our Toronto basement renovation cost guide for a detailed breakdown.

Read the full guide
How long does a renovation take?

A typical basement project runs about 34 working days following our published five-phase sequence; structural jobs follow the same order with more steps. You'll have dates and a noise forecast before day one.

Do you handle permits and inspections?

Yes — permits, engineering, and city inspections are part of the job. Inspection reports are shared in the app as the project runs.

One contractor. One app. One calm homeowner.

Renovate without the knot in your stomach.

Your home keeps feeling like home while it changes — because you can see everything, and wonder about nothing.
