What will you build downstairs?
A basement is the most flexible space in the house. RenoNext turns unfinished space into rooms built for a purpose — soundproofed, climate-controlled, and wired right — across Toronto and the GTA.

Music Room
A basement is the best place in the house to play, practise or record — once it is properly isolated.
Home Theatre
A basement is the natural home for a cinema room — dark, quiet, and away from the rest of the house.
Home Gym
A basement gym keeps the workout at home and out of the way.
Wine Cellar
A basement is already cool and dark — the two things wine needs most.
Home Office
A basement office gives you a real door to close, away from the rest of the house.
It all starts with a dry basement
Soundproofing, electronics, climate control and fine finishes all assume one thing: a basement that stays dry. Before any specialty room goes in, we confirm the space is waterproofed and the moisture is controlled — otherwise a sealed, finished room just traps the problem.
Waterproofing and foundation work is RenoNext’s core trade, so the same crew that builds your room can fix the base first.

Common questions
What can I turn my basement into?
Almost any room you wish you had more space for. The most popular specialty build-outs are a soundproof music room or studio, a home theatre, a home gym, a climate-controlled wine cellar, and a quiet home office. Each has its own technical requirements — soundproofing, AV wiring, ventilation, climate control or data and lighting — which is where a proper build pays off.
Do I need to finish the whole basement first?
Not necessarily — a specialty room can be built as part of finishing the basement or carved out of an already-finished space. Either way the prerequisites are the same: the basement must be dry and waterproofed, and the room needs adequate ceiling height. We assess that on a free walkthrough before quoting.
What do all these rooms have in common?
Every basement build-out starts with moisture control. Soundproofing, electronics, climate control and finishes all depend on a dry, waterproofed basement, so that is always step one. From there each room adds its own systems — isolation, AV, ventilation, cooling, or data and lighting.
Who builds these — is it a marketplace?
No. RenoNext is one Toronto and GTA renovation contractor. The same crew handles the work, and a live app shows you the progress, costs and inspections on your project. Licensed, insured and WSIB covered.
