Project Overview
Complete house addition project including excavation, full underpinning on one side, bench underpinning on the other, and a door cut-out through the existing foundation wall. One of the most complex residential structural projects in the neighbourhood.

This project was one of the most complex residential structural jobs in the Mt. Pleasant neighbourhood. The homeowner wanted to add a rear addition while lowering the basement — which meant we had to underpin both sides of the house simultaneously while keeping the existing structure stable. We used a cut-and-break saw to open a new doorway through the original load-bearing brick foundation wall. Every step had to be engineered and inspected.
